About · 2026

Built in Oslo, for the house.

runorder is a theatre planning tool made by Greyframe AS for Norwegian institutional theatres. We sell it quote-only to a small number of large customers, and we know all of them by name.

Why it exists

A successor to Theatron.

Theatron set the bar for theatre planning software in Norway for two decades. We wrote runorder as the next chapter — same operational depth, modern stack, lower total cost. The chief planners we built this for know who they are.

The product is opinionated about what theatre planning actually requires. Drag-and- drop on a calendar is the easy part; the hard part is conflict-checking against Norwegian work agreements, vacation policies, contract terms, and per-room rules at save time. We do that part.

How we sell it

Few customers, long conversations.

Self-serve is explicitly not on the roadmap. The Norwegian addressable market is finite — roughly 20 to 30 viable customer organisations — and we'd rather know each one well than chase a wider audience. Onboarding is manual, sales is high-touch, support is one-business-day response over email or Microsoft Teams.

We work in NOK or EUR, annual prepay, KPI-JAE escalator capped at 4%. Setup and migration are billed separately as a one-time engagement. We don't post prices on this site because every conversation starts with your context, not ours.

If you want the longer version of how this works, read /pricing. If you want to talk, the contact form lives there too.

Who built it

Greyframe AS.

Greyframe is an independent product studio in Oslo. We've been writing software for arts and culture organisations for over a decade. runorder is what we wanted when we worked alongside theatre administrators and saw which spreadsheet stacks were holding the building together.
